- Ouistreham (15 min away): Located just a few minutes from the beach and the Ouistreham ferry terminal, the Atlantic Wall Museum is located inside the old German headquarters which was in charge of the batteries covering the estuary of the river Orne. Caen, city of William the Conqueror:

Bayeux and Bessin:
- The Bayeux tapestry, a unique documentary record, was embroidered in the 11th century in woollen thread on linen canvas. Almost 70 m long and 50 cm high, it narrates events leading up to the conquest of England on 14 October 1066 by William the Conqueror, Duke of Normandy.
- Notre Dame Cathedral: Built in the 15th century, solemnly consecrated in 1077 in the presence of William, Duke of Normandy and King of England, the Roman cathedral was one of the finest buildings of the Norman Roman school.
Gourmet Calvados:
- The Calvados coastline stretches over 120 km, sheltering numerous ports. Fish auctions and local markets teem with fish (sole, plaice, whiting, etc.) and seafood (shrimps, tourteau crabs, lobsters, etc.).
- The Calvados countryside is a land of green meadows, apple trees and cows. Mainly agricultural, its inhabitants enjoy exceptional dairy products: butter, fresh cream, cheeses. They also appreciate good meat and famous delicatessen specialities: Vire chitterlings sausage and tripes à la mode de Caen.
- For deserts: Asnelles fine shortbread biscuits, Teurgoule and the traditional apple tart.
- Obviously, a must to accompany these delicious treasures: cider, pommeau (apple wine) and calvados liqueur! Calvados producers, companies and craftsmen open their doors to demonstrate their know-how.
